There is no single best face acid for everyone. The right choice depends on your skin barrier, the season, recent treatments, and whether the main concern is acne, pigmentation, blackheads, roughness, or dullness.

At MS Aesthetic in Warsaw, we do not start with the acid name. We first check skin tolerance, active inflammation, pigmentation risk, home care, and the date when you need your skin to look calm.

A simple way to think about face acids

Use this as a consultation map, not as an internet diagnosis.
Skin concernWhat to discuss
Blackheads and oilinessClarifying and regulating acids may be discussed, but active inflammation needs careful qualification.
PigmentationThe plan usually combines brightening, sun protection, and a series matched to skin tone.
Dullness and roughnessA gentler chemical peel or glow focused treatment may be enough when the skin barrier is stable.
Sensitive skinTolerance comes first. A stronger peel is not better if the skin is reactive.

When not to choose an acid on your own

  • Your skin is irritated, freshly tanned, or has a weakened barrier.
  • You use retinoids, strong exfoliating products, or medication that affects the skin.
  • You tend to develop post-inflammatory pigmentation.
  • You want treatment right before an event and cannot risk peeling or redness.

The safest rule

If the skin stings, flakes, or feels unstable, we rebuild tolerance first. An acid should help the skin, not prove how strong the treatment can be.

How to prepare for consultation

Bring your active skincare list, retinoid use, recent treatments, allergies, and planned travel dates. This helps match the chemical peel with real life, not only with how the skin looks in the treatment room.
